We are looking for a QA Specialist with prior experience in creating end-to-end automated test scenarios and prior experience in coding, programming etc. You have a strong analytical mindset, attention to detail and curiosity to know how it works & how can the process be improved. You are able to identify problems and have strong communication skills in discussing these challenges with various stakeholders. You remain patient in working and managing various stakeholders’ expectations.

About the role
Foxquilt is a leading Insurance technology company focused on empowering small businesses and B2B networks to save on small business insurance. We’re introducing new products to the market that finally provide businesses with greater value and buying power. We are rapidly expanding our geographic footprint across North America. As a QA Specialist, you will be vital in this ambitious expansion and test new software and product configuration launches in new markets, working together with the Business Analysts, Software Engineers, and Implementation Specialists. Prior experience Implementing Commercial Lines Insurance products or equivalent experience would be an asset.

Location: Fully Remote OR Hybrid in Charlotte, NC if preferred

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Analyze requirements for both functional and especially technical requirements. Ability to understand the current process, and implement changes if it doesn’t meet the requirements.
  • Perform Manual Testing and ability to create automation workflow scenarios to increase the scope of the testing process
  • Analyze existing issues and the source of the problems. Collaborate with Developers and BA’S to help identify solutions for the existing issues.
  • Create end-to-end automated test case scenarios
  • Communicate and Coordinate with various stakeholders (tech team, C-suite executives, clients) on a regular basis
  • Configuration & Implementation skills: Customize configuration requirements for the launch of new products, services and for different geographical location
  • Receive ongoing direction, coaching, and career guidance

Education & Experience

  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Actuarial Science or a related discipline
  • 2+ Years of experience in creating automated test scenarios using JEST, Cypress, Selenium or other QA Automation tools
  • Prior experience in coding, programming or held position previously as a developer in one or more of these languages: Javascript, TypeScript, Node.js, React, Python
  • Required tools: CircleCI, JIRA, Confluence, Slack
  • Our Tech stacks environment: AWS Lambda/API Gateway/S3/Cloudfront, with a MongoDB backend
  • Commercial Lines, P&C Insurance industry or equivalent experience would be an asset
